Our 18-officer and 8-dispatcher team serves the 1.7 square mile city limits, protecting over 800 homes 24 hours a day.
Fire/EMS
We respond to an average of 700 emergency calls per year, including fires, and rescue, also provides and receives mutual aid from neighboring fire departments; EMS serves the Town of Walkerton, Polk and Lincoln townships since 1977.
Parks & Recreation
The Park Department offers year-round activities and sports, parks, walking trails, facilities to rent, plus a fantastic fireworks display on the 4th of July.
